Welcome to the AS Partners support group

We are here to support the neurotypical spouses and life partners of adults with Asperger's syndrome in the greater Seattle area, and we are holding monthly group meetings at:

Bellevue Regional King County Library
1111 110th Avenue NE
Bellevue, WA 98004

For room #, please check the library's room guide, to the left as you walk in the north door of the library. The library allows us to bring food or drink to use in the meeting rooms, as long as we are careful to clean up after ourselves.

IMPORTANT! From September through December 2011, we will temporarily be changing day, time and location of our meetings:

Asperger's Relationships in Movies

Adam
There is a new motion picture called Adam about a romance between a man with Asperger's and a neurotypical woman. I went to see it on the opening day out here at the Landmark Egyptian Theatre in Seattle, expecting the typical Hollywood ending that's highly sympathetic to people with Asperger's. I was pleasantly surprised by the message of the movie, that the woman turned out to be the true protagonist and that the story is really about her choices.

Mozart and the Whale
This is an older movie depicting a relationship between a man and a woman who both have Asperger's.
